Unfortunately peels
I love the smell and the feeling of this; however if you rub your face it literally peels and rolls up so you have lightly brush off your face. It's super annoying. Even if it's been 2 hours since application and I go to put makeup on, the makeup brush itself even casues it to peel/roll/flake and I have a mix of dry/oily skin. This has never happened with any other moisturizer ????

Moisturized
I had used the eye cream, night cream and neck cream of Cult51. I wanted to try the full line of this brand, so I got this Day Cream. The one weird thing I have found is that regardless of which product it is, all the products that I've used from this brand have the same color and smell. There only seem to be slight differences in texture due to the method in which it is applied -- otherwise each product seems to be identical. This was what I didn't understand. This is the reason why I took off on star. About the day cream, it's nice that they have SPF 15 protection which is good enough fro me because I usually apply the sunscreen after moisturizer. It's moderately creamy, a little goes a long way. I felt my skin hydrated and smooth, no excessively oil behind. It meets the standard as a moisturized, but as for other functions that it advertised, I don't see any big differences/reduction after finishing this cream. There could be micro changes on my skin that I am not aware of. So, I am not sure if this cream is delivering as advertised. What I can say is that it doesn't work for me. This is another reason I took off one more star.

Ouch
This moisturizer gave me a horrific rash on my face, it first felt hot, then swelled and turned to hives. It took at least a day to fully go away, and was very uncomfortable. Maybe it's just me, but I cannot recommend this cream.

Bizarre scent, ok moisturizer
First off I need to comment on the scent as it’s one of the most bizarre scents for a moisturizer i have ever had. It legitimately smells like a church or funeral home. Like that specific type of incense that all churches and funeral homes seam to smell like, that’s exactly what this Cult 51 moisturizer smells like. It’s not necessary a bad scent, it’s just an odd choice in my opinion. It’s also heavily fragranced with the church incense smell so if your not into fragrance in your skincare for whatever reason then you will want to pass on this one. The bottle is nice looking, it’s got some weight to it and feels and looks premium, as it should for the price point! The moisturizer itself is not white like it looks in the Amazon page photos, it’s a darker cream color bordering on a very light brown. As far as the moisturizer performs… it’s ok. Honestly I’m not impressed by it. It’s not that it’s bad, there’s no stickiness and it absorbs quickly. It also dries down to just shy of an almost powder like feel. It also does seam to moisturize well and doesn’t feel heavy on my face. But it also Will pill up if your rub even a little bit. For this reason I had trouble with it during the day if I was wearing makeup. Overall it’s ok, but not my favorite. Personally I find it better as a night cream.

Wanted to love this but received a used product
I have tried Cult51 before, a friend had received a product from them in a gift box when she lived overseas. I loved how it smelled so when I saw this on Amazon to test, I thought I'd love to give it a try for myself. The box arrived badly scuffed on the bottom with water stains and had clearly sat on somebody's bathroom shelf. It had been opened as a lot of the product had been scooped out (but no leak on the outside of the container so it didn't leak out). I was disappointed. Smelled just as amazing as I had remembered. I tried some of it on my hands and yes! Rich cream that absorbed nicely and smelled lovely. The main ingredients are fairly low-end for the most part. The Faex Extract had me wondering. It's a yeast extract with antioxidant properties. But the rest I was kind of disappointed about. Read for yourself. It's not a bad cream if it cost a wee bit less and their quality control was better. INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Faex Extract, Dimethicone, Isopropyl Myristate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Prunus Persica Kernel Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Phenoxyethanol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Panthenol, Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Trideceth-6, Juglans Regia Seed Extract, Xanthan Gum, Punica Granatum Extract, Escin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Sodium Metabisulfite, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate

Decent moisturizer, but at this price point i've seen much better
Generally my skin is a combination type that is not too picky and works pretty well with most moisturizers. This moisturizer has a somewhat interesting scent, but its not bad at all. I noticed that although my skin did feel more moisturized. As the box did advertise after applying to moisturizer a few hours later after it actually absorbed into my skin is when I noticeably saw the effects more. When using this moisturizer I felt like because the cream was heavier it made my face feel that way as well even after absorption. The cream does have SPF but at 15 that's not good enough for everyday wear on it's on. Overall compared to other moisturizers I've used in the past this one was just average among them, but at the price point it was I don't see it as a very strong competitor along other bands at the same range.
