Good but slippery

Size is true!

I purchased the Columbia Men's Crestwood Waterproof Hiking Shoe in a size 13 wide in the "Mud/Squash" color! I was a little hesitant to purchase these on-line, since most shoes (sneakers/hiking) I purchase seem to run somewhat small! Before purchasing, I had my foot measured at a shoe store and it was a 12.5 men's US length. So, after reading reviews stating the size was accurate, I ordered the 13 Wides. I have had them for about 3 weeks and they are just great! The size (13) fits very comfortably and correctly on my foot and they are "cushy" and easy to walk in. I like the way the shoes look and feel on my feet. They are waterproof and have a label on each shoe's outer side, stating "Waterproof". The toe "kick" is made of rubber and wraps around the toe of each shoe. The soles feel like they are rubber too. I primarily purchased them for walking, but will use them for some hiking too! So far, I am very pleased with the look and feel of these shoes! The one criticism I have of the shoes it the arch is not quite high enough for me. I have flat feet and would have enjoyed having a little more arch support in each shoe, but I can always add a little more arch support if it becomes a problem. I usually purchase the 13M's, but I went with the 13W and am glad I did! So far, I am pleased with the look, feel (arch support could have been more pronounced), and sturdiness of the shoe! The only thing I can't tell you yet, is about the durability of the shoe. But time will tell.....and so will I if they don't meet my expectations!

Light and water proof.

This shoes is light and it's water proof. However, the water is going in at the back of my ankle where there is a space between the top of my ankle and the lip of the shoes when raining. I removed the soles because it was hard like walking on concrete and replaced it with a good soft insoles. There is no cushion between the soles of the shoes and your foot, unlike Hokas, except the insoles you put in the shoes.

Keeps my feet dry

Nice wide comfortable shoes. I wore these to work right out of the box with no problems. I work with water at work and they have done a great job keeping my feet dry all day.

Good shoe for work or casual, but not for serious hiking

Well made and fit, with roomy toe box. Good looking shoe. Flexible (not too) and very cushy mid-sole which makes it great for standing or casual walking, even quick street pacing, but not good for real hiking on rugged trails.

Comfortable shoes but not very durable. DO NOT BUY!

The shoes have begun to disintegrate after barely 5 months of use and have developed holes in the top side seams where the shoe flexes. The fabric has shredded and deteriorated, leaving large holes. Not a happy customer! I expect to get at least a year out of a pair of shoes and these are terrible for durability. I wear them around the house and for walking my dogs during the week and for hikes on weekends.

Good outdoor wear and waterproof

Fit as expected and is rugged to handle my outdoor adventures. Great for fishing on my boat. Waterproof really useful for rainy days and fishing.

Good fit, comfortable, and light weight

Excellent light-weight hiker. I opted for Men’s Wide as I wanted more space in the toe box, and even in Wide, the heel cup is still narrow enough to hold my foot securely, and the shoe laces up snugly for a good, comfortable hiking experience. Good design.
