They are adjustable in the waist
If your kid is like mine tall and super skinny than these are shorts will work for you. These are all I buy for my son. He is 4 years old but fits a 2t-3t in the waist he is very tall so his old shorts don't fit like they should anymore. They are adjustable in the waist and you can make it as tight as needed. A childrens place pants are worth ever penny. I won't buy any other brand. He is 41 inches and weights 34 pounds. He can wear a 4t-size 4

I was looking for shorts that fit more like the Crown&Ivy toddler boy shorts. These were really long for us. Make sure you double check the inseam length! We are returning.
