Stunning, Beautiful, Comfy & Snuggly

I looked at three different sizes for this, and am still 'on the fence'. First, the color is not as depicted in the photos from the brand/maker. I find them beautiful just the same. Not deep reds but these are magenta and fusia. One review/er had noted this, but hadn't uploaded any photos :( Clearly I love powerful, rich colors, and the combination of these is spectacular! In their all wool sweaters, Chilly Dog size XL is what I find suits us best. I thought the same would apply here. However it is a blanket coat, different cut/style, each can be different in their fit as so desired between them. I like the sweaters to fit looser, and cover more --make sure he's warm out in these cold, blustery winters. He has an 18" neck, a 27" chest and his body is about "20 or so (depends where ya start and stop!). I found the sizing from the maker on another website for the blanket coat (included in the pics I uploaded). The dimensions on the medium looked like a good fit. And on him, I don't think it appears 'too small'. Though the couple inch difference in length could finish covering up his pibble bum! The size Large at this time, is temporarily out of stock, or I would have already ordered it / essentially exchanged this out for it. However I would be disappointed to return this and potentially miss out on either size. The fit of this medium will serve the spring or fall temperatures, I wasn't choosing it for winter-protective wear. One last detail I wanted to cover, it has a black acrylic-pile lining. Actual sherpa is an animal fiber (which part of me wonders whether the outer IS wool, but I don't wanna take a lighter or match flame to it to find out ... wool does not burn, and a synthetic would melt). This IS beautiful! If you have a similar decision to make, I hope this review and pictures (which do not even do this justice as seeing it in person) are helpful! :)
