Great Product

For a 24" wide grill, you will need to crimp the edges for it to hold. I will spot weld it to firm it up.

Requires some work to fit properly

My application is about 23 inches. At that length it sags a lot in the middle. The folded crimps on the outer pieces are loose but crimping them tight with pliers it was still too loose and the sag in the center remained. I held it up flat and marked it with a pen. I had some stainless steel pop rivets left from another project so i drilled it and pop riveted it in place. This fixed the sag. Make sure it isn't too tight as it grows when heated and will buckle in the middle if it doesn't have room to expand.

Was a little short, but i made it work!

It was a little short on my grill but I pinched the crimps that hold it together and bent it a little bit to get it to stay

Worked for me

Slide it together for the right length. I used my old (rusted out) one as a guide. I had just a little trouble getting it back in my Char-Broil grill but not much. It just sits in place. I'll get a few more years out of my grill now.

The problem is that the slide of the metal pieces when opened to a maximum fit fall apart easily

Hard to find 24" heat tent for old Char-Broil grill

Works as expected. Have used this item in the past. I have an old Char-Broil grill with a 23.5" heat tent holder. This tent can reach 24" as advertised but it will sag in the middle and almost touch the bar burner. As suggested in other reviews, tried to crimp the sliding groves to keep it level but this does not work. Could have used a couple of sheet metal screws (way to much bother) but found that a clay brickette used for even heating placed in the middle of the burner will raise the heat tent upward to make a level surface and still allow even heating by the burner. At 24" it's the only game in town for us old grillers!

Disappointed and aggravated.

Was not compatible with my bbq even though it said it was. The grill kept knocking it off. The one I ordered said 12-28 inches but the box said 12-24” max. I needed 23 1/2” and it definitely did not fit - just kept falling apart. I will have to have one custom made I guess which will be costly. Would love feedback.

Not a great fit for the Char Broil 463720114

Can't comment on how it fits other models, but it's not right for the Char Broil 463720114 which is quite wide. It will just about fit, teetering on the edge, but it usually drops off during cooking or collapses in the middle. I can imagine it working better if it's not overstretched as it is for this model.
