Was pleasantly surprised.
This was the (I think) 5 or 6th shoe rack I've purchased, the first one made of cedar wood. This has quickly become my favorite rack out of the bunch. And so far (I believe I've had it for at least 2 or 3 months now) it's the sturdiest. The cedar wood was of good quality (at least what I think to be the marks of good quality cedar; light pink color, and of course a strong cedar wood smell). There is some assembly involved, however even with my shoddy, half-a'd approach it still came out surprisingly sturdy. I do recommend either having a 2nd person, or installing the product on a bed, or a table where you can turn it upside down. All in all I've been happy with this purchase, my one caveat would be to really consider the price, and if you're wanting to pay that much for a shoe rack. It's a personal choice, is it better than the $20 dollar ones made with flimsy medal rods and tarp like covering? Yes.

Solid rack that looks good
Easy to put together but I did have the bottom of one side panel split a bit when I tighten the screw. Be careful not to over tighten and you will be fine. Fits three pairs across but tight, would be better with about another inch in width to accommodate boots. Another thing to consider is the height between shelves will not accommodate boots or tall shoes. This is to be expected with the overall height. I wanted a shorter rack so this is perfect for me.

It’s actually better than I thought it would be. I think it’s real cedar and not where they just coat something else, but idk that for sure. Looks good

Several major flaws, but smells good
Pros: 1. Fresh cedar fragrance. 2. Works fine to store shoes in closet. Cons: 1. As you can see in the close-up photos, the wood has not been sanded and there are lots of little splinters. 2. One of the holes wasn't drilled properly, leading one of the shelves to crack as we were screwing it together (shown in photo.) It also caused the shelf to be slightly misaligned. 3. The unit does not sit flat on any surface, and there aren't adjustable feet. As shown, the bottom of the unit is just wood.

5 stars for the price
Negative reviews saying this isn’t a good product are simply a case of misplaced expectations. For ~$50, this thing is great. I assembled it alone in under 30 minutes, and spent maybe 10 minutes sanding it with a 220-grit paper to get rid of rough splintered edges. I’m not an expert and usually have my husband take the lead on furniture assembly, because the tedium of screwing in with allen keys, tiny wooden dowels and 150 screws sends me into anxious fits. But this thing is super straight-forward: attach 4 shelves, 4 screws apiece, to the two sides. Done. The slats are glued onto the shelves, and appear fairly sturdy. I wouldn’t stand on it, but for sure it’ll hold any shoes without strain. For what it is, it’s 5 stars. If you want something finished and polished, pay more for something else.

Oh, interesting
Absolutely thrilled until I got to the last shelf. No screw holes! Wouldn't be a problem if this 67 year old lady knew how to use a drill to make my own. Thinking about zip ties or DUCK TAPE! The smell alone is worth it. One of life's lemonade days. Maybe a closer quality control on quality control. Thanks for an interesting day!

So Happy I bought this!
Once assembled, this shoe rack is beautiful and smells wonderful. Bought to get my shoes off the floor and to help keep bugs deterred. Planning to buy another one once this item comes back into stock. Was impossible to assemble with the tool provided. I was not strong enough. However, once I got my battery operated drill driver out assembly became very easy.

Nice material, poor tolerancing
The shoe rack looks pretty and smells very nice, but, unfortunately, this product had some of the worst tolerancing I've seen in a piece of furniture in years. The sides were slightly uneven, leading to a wobble that needed to be corrected with a felt pad. Worse, one of the racks had holes drilled so close together on one side that one of the screws wouldn't go in, and another cracked (thankfully not too badly) when the screws were tightened.

Cedar shoe rack
I love this shoe rack . The wonderful smell of cedar in the closet is so much better than shoe aroma! Worth every cent ! I would buy again if I had another shoe closet!
