Strong foot massager

This is a good foot massager. Very strong but does get a little weaker over time but still good.

I have had this for 7 months now and at first I used it every night. Now I use it a couple times a week at night after being on my feet all day. It is very rough but this is what I was looking for. I have tried several other products but never could find one that would get in deep and give me the relief I wanted. I found this on Amazon and took a chance. I tried it as soon as it arrived and at first I couldnt handle it and had to stop after about 10 minutes. But I found that if I wear a pair of my knee high motocross riding socks it helps alot. I wear these every time I use this now. By the way I have a size 11.5 foot so it is great for larger feet. I also found that this is great to massage my calves. Boy does this thing find knots in my calves that I never knew were there! The knee high socks come in handy for this, hence why I said I wear knee high socks... My routine is now to start with my feet while sitting on the couch and slowly moving my feet forward and back to get the entire foot. The rollers on the bottom and the rollers on the side that squeeze your foot are great! About every 30 seconds or so they stop and reverse the rotation direction which is nice. After I do my feet for about 10 minutes, I put it on the coffee table and put my calves in it. This takes getting used to but I love it now. As with my feet, I slowly move my legs up and down to cover my entire calf. After this my legs and feet are like jello. I also found that I sleep alot better after this. So why only 4 stars? Heres why: 1. I noticed right away the first time I used it that the speed and direction buttons did not work. But not a big deal because the speed it is on is just right. And the direction switches every 30 seconds or so anyways so that doesnt matter. 2. I have noticed over the 7 months I have had this that the strength of this is decreasing. At first it was almost bone crushing and now it still has alot of strength and is enough to satisfy my achy legs and feet but I sure hope that it does not continue to decrease. Overall, Great product and I would buy another one if mine goes out.

I returned mine, but it might be ok for others...

I ordered this product a couple weeks ago, and I sent it back after a night. It just wasn't for me, but I think it will be for some people. I never knew I wanted a foot massager. I was experiencing some plantar fasciitis pain while walking around a mall, trying to use a gift certificate. I stopped in at a Brookstone and decided to sit down and try their foot massager (the Shiatsu one that you can put your feet inside). It felt pretty good, but I noticed that when I got up, most of my foot pain was gone. I figured I'd get one. $250 is too much for me. I can't see myself getting the Brookstone model. I also don't think it worked the arch enough. Ok... so I got home, checked some out and chose this one. I bought it and waited for it to arrive with eager anticipation. It arrived, and I had it out of the box in seconds. I sat down to use it, and it was ok. I say it was ok, because it wasn't what I expected. When the description said it had rolling whatevers (not looking at the description), I thought that the massaging mechanism would go up and down the bottoms of my feet. It didn't. I found that I had to work too hard to move my feet around and let the massagers get the different parts of my feet. There were some times when the thing was amazing. One really good thing was the side massage. That gave me exactly what I needed on the side. It squeezed into my arch and the outside of my foot. Those are problem spots for me... the arch for pain, the outside for fatigue. Flat feet, yay! Anyway, the roller things sometimes hit me where I wanted, but too often I wanted it to move somewhere. It just never did, so I decided that it wasn't going to work. I do see what people are saying about the massage being a little hard. It did hurt sometimes. In fact, I could tell that my feet were actually bruised the next morning and for a couple days afterward after using it a single time... well, that's not true. I probably used it 3-4 times on the one night I had the thing. Here's the kicker. It _absolutely_ made my feet feel better. It did work, definitely. But I thought that the downsides, the problems I mentioned above, were enough to return the device. I still don't have a massager, and I really would like one. I'll keep looking.

Almost perfect - EDIT: Not anymore

Below the "----" is my original review. UPDATE 11/22: After a few weeks, the massaging power of the device decreased noticeably. This was noted by another reviewer. The "side smushers" have become useless. The device worked well for a over a week, I loved it, but some point between then and now it became dramatically weaker. I submitted a return. It is possible mine is defective, but I'll be looking for another device. ----------------------------- As soon as it came I used it for an hour straight, then again for a half hour after dinner. I do not have any foot conditions and aside from ex-girlfriend's foot rubs I have no experience with foot massages, so take this review for what it's worth to you. I have men's size 10.5 feet and there's more than enough room for larger ones. It is not painful at all for me, but I did attempt standing on it out of curiosity (warning: don't) and did experience pain. If anything I wish the side "foot smushers" applied MORE pressure. The bottom rollers, which appear to be an attempt to emulate thumb movements, may be a tad too strong depending on foot location and user applied pressure but still enjoyable. Once you find that sweet spot you'll be in heaven. I also threw my calves into the slots and it was pretty nice as well. Will probably try to insert other appendages as time progresses. As for the docked star, the power cord is SHORT! I needed to order an extension cord to be able to use this on the couch. Where do they imagine people using this thing to only give a 3 foot cord? Also, I would have liked some kind of real customization options. The interface appears to be intuitive until you try to use it for anything, all massages seem the same to me. That said, it works well and I enjoy the machine.

Wonderful foot massage, a must have in my house.

Reading all the comments, the one that stood out was that it was too strong. well, I had to have this unit now that I read that. I am very happy it is as strong as it is, but I do notice a change from a previous model. The rubber inserts inside the machine used to be solid, and therefore when they pressed the sides of your feet it was really strong. This model they have been toned down a bit by being hollow inside the rubber to absorb some of the pressure. This still works very well, but I do miss the old massage pads a bit. It is the same as any massage, if it hurts, you probably needed it more than you think! The more you use it over time, you grow a tolerance for the massages and your feet slowly return to a better state. The machine seems to be holding up well. We have rand multiple cycles in a row for hours and it only gets slightly warm. I dont think the motor is overheating at all. My last unit used to get way hotter. I am very happy with this unit, and the wife has somewhat taken over the machine..... LOL . I get to use it sometimes. That is OK though as the wife works a job that she is on her feet for 8 hours and when she is done, she really needs a good massage.

Short Cord Machine with Moderate Massage Power

The machine was bigger than I thought, so this unit is definitely not as portable and light as it may seem. Also, the cord length is rather short for my liking, rendering this unit less portable. In terms of function, this machine provides enough power to massage my feet; however, my boyfriend found that it is still not hitting some of the spots that he would like to be massage, so in the end, I still have to give his feet some manual kneading. The manual is easy to read and follow, so you won't have to spend a lot of time reading it before you can use the machine. Aside from some drawbacks, I'd still recommend this machine to those who need some moderate massage to relax their feet.

Pretty good in the beginning but it started to wear and out pretty quickly

As most current owner already mention this is very intense kneading rolling shiatsu foot massage machine. Pro: Intense massage on the sole of your foot, it felt so great that I no longer felt tire after one or two sessions. Con: - It really did squeeze the side of your foot so you will have to re-position your foot at times to avoid that part of the massage. - The reverse function only works for 2 revolution and its goes back forward again - As you continue to use it I find the machine starts to wear out pretty quick as it no longer as strong/intense anymore. That is disappointing

The product I bough in February this year about 8 months is broken and does not work any more. I opened it with screw driver and found a black plastic part for holding the 4 white rollers is broken. The black broken plastic piece has to be replaced if make the massages work. Is there any manufacture contact info available like phone# and email ? Thanks in advance Gilbert gywang99@hotmail.com

Purchased after seeing these in Japan. Unit has been great. Perfect for sore and tired feet. As for the calf portion. There is absolutely no way that my calves would fit in this unit. Size 11 feet are a bit of a tight fit as well, but does the job!
