There's a trick to the shoelaces...
I nabbed these from Amazon Warehouse for a fraction of the usual price, so I was super-excited to receive them. I was immediately disappointed, though, as they seemed to be way too tight for a wide-width shoe, and then I couldn't even loosen the laces?!?! Whatever moron decided to lace these shoes backwards deserves to be fired. The first thing I did was set about removing the laces, so I could lace these shoes up the right way. I hoped that in doing so, I'd be able to loosen them where they were too tight and make these shoes more comfortable. But I soon found that pulling them out through the eyelets was almost impossible! I finally found that the reason they don't seem to come out of the eyelets is because they bunch up around the taped end. By pulling on both sides, I was able to stretch out the braided lace, and then they slid out of the eyelets much more easily. They were a little difficult to push back through, but I finally got going with that part, and my theory was proven correct. With these shoes laced correctly and not so tightly, these shoes were pretty damned comfy! Only problem was I didn't have much lace left to properly tie. My final solution was to throw away the laces that came with the shoes and replace them with some $2 athletic laces (in a longer length) from Walmart. The new laces fit through the eyelets without any problems and let me lace the shoes up in a way that was comfortable for my foot -- with enough left to tie correctly. I wore these shoes all day today, and they're awesome. They've got great support, great tread, and remained comfortable through everything I did today.

Just started breaking them in yesterday. Very comfortable.
Removable insole so I can easily add my orthopedic inserts. Very light weight.

Weird Tongue Issue
I needed a pair of waterproof shoes that were wide enough for bunion relief for an upcoming trip. I had a heck of a time finding anything that worked. The xx wide has been perfect. The insoles are removable so I was able to put in my own. The only problem was where the tongue is sewed in at the top of the shoe is not smooth and you can feel bumps. A good pair of socks helps this and that was not as important as the wide toe box for me,so they were keepers. If you have a high instep or swelling, it may bother you. Something to keep in mind.

They're OK
These are just big enough, a little snug but they fit. I have had several pairs of Propet shoes so I thought these would be a little bigger. I'm not happy with the way they laced the shoes. It's that backwards way that's hard for me to tighten. I tried to re-lace them but the eyelets are really small and it's difficult to pull out the laces. I managed to get them through the first pair of holes but that was it. As I kept yanking on the laces I was expecting the eyelets to pop out so I guess I'm going have to get used to the way the manufacturer laced them. I bought these for the tread and the supposed waterproofness. I have not had occasion to go out in the rain yet wearing these so I hope they really are waterproof. I ride my bike to work in the rain and my current shoes/boots slip off the wet pedals so the deeper tread should solve that - as long they are waterproof.

don’t bother
Oh I wanted to love these shoes since they claim to be impermeable and I plan on hiking the beaches in Washington state. But back they go. These shoes are so poorly sized. I am normally a 6 or 6.5 regular width with plenty of room to spare. Despite other reviewers saying they ran narrow I still tried a 6.5 regular- I couldn’t even get the shoe over my toes. So then I ordered a 6.5 x wide (2e width). They fit but are so uncomfortable. The top presses down on my toes and the sole is soooooo hard even after a few minutes. Wish i hadn’t bothered.

lovely, a bit pricey for what it is
nice, but keep in mind it is thick, so keeps your feet warm, really warm. and it is on a smallish size. get 1/2 size up if you can.

Firm, hard shoe. Water proof side but nothing on top
Hurts my feet after a while. The rub tip of shoe is very firm (almost like steel toe boots). No cushion, super hard. Sides are water proof but if walking in rain then your feet will be soaked. Feel heavy on feet.

Nice shoes riddled with a ridiculous permanent shoelace system
This are nice shoes, true to the brand's quality and fitting system but the shoelaces are a ridiculously awful change to the standard. Specifically the shoelace system is threaded in such a way to make them permanently adhered to the shoes and minimally adjustable. Most importantly, there is no (and I mean NO) way to thread them out of the shoes to change the way they are set up and/or the tension as they are completely trapped within the eyelets. A great feature for toddlers sneakers and within institutionalized settings perhaps when you want to ensure no possible way of removal without destroying the laces/shoes but for self determining adults it is completely frustrating. The only way i could get the shoelaces out was to cut off the tips with scissors (as it is the size of the wax capped ends trapping them within the eyelets/shoes) but once you do that you have to purchase new laces that don't match the shoes anymore as once cut there is also no viable means of rethreading the laces into the shoes....A seemingly smart idea very badly executed!

Not waterproof
I purchased this shoe as it looked sturdy and what I needed, and the fact that it said it had a waterproof upper just clinched it for me. They are comfy and stable on hikes, but my feet were drenched walking thu short, wet grass after 5 min. So I need to find a way to dry them.... Overall a good shoe, but based on where I hike and how wet it is, I was expecting something to keep my feet dry, not wet...

* X wide was Narrow!
Even x wide too narrow. Had to use shoe stretcher and damping method. Would not reorder. Shoe is solid and good quality for the price if you do not have wide feet.
