Do not put water in it!

Bought this vase because of the beautiful amber color, put fresh flowers and water in ONCE and when I emptied it the amber “color” came right out with the water! It ended up being some kind of amber lining! False advertising don’t spend your money unless you want a clear vase.

It's an ok vase, nothing fancy

I saw another review about the handwashing taking the amber "liner" off and I am too scared to try to put water and flowers in the vase now. I plan to display this little vase in our glass cabinets, the color is unique and has some nice contrast to our white cabinets and glass shelves. Is it well made? I don't really know if it's handmade or glass blown, but the edge at the top is wavy, so that suggests either manufacturing flaws or that it's handmade LOL. Label on the bottom says Made in India. Although it was well packaged when it arrived, when I unwrapped and pulled it out, the outer glass seemed to have some kind of weird residue or film on it, so I had to wipe it down with a damp cloth. Kind of strange. It's just ok, nothing to get too excited about but not a bad choice if you are looking for amber colored vases.

Beautiful but be careful

This vase is a gorgeous amber color. It fit perfectly with the aesthetic of my livingroom. The vase is not waterproof though. The glass itself is not amber, it has a coating on it to make it appear amber. If I was to wash this, I am afraid the color would come off. I will not be placing any real flowers in it as I do not dare put water in the vase. My plan was to place it by a lantern I have on the side of my TV stand and as I have cats, i was not planning on adding any flowers to it that were real. If you are looking for a decorative vase to place fake flowers in, this would be great for you. Otherwise, buyer beware!

Not what I expected ...

The vase is just ok. I didn't expect it to be so big. I would have been satisfied if it was half the size. Also, I expected an opaque surface with varied striations. However, the vase is transparent and glass-like. But the reason for my (still positive) 3-star rating is my fear of actually putting cut flowers (which need water) in the vase due to the apparent tendency of the inner coating to peel off. Perhaps adding language to the promo material like "for fake flora only" would help.

No dramatic striations on the glass

this is a pretty glass amber vase and has a nice wide open mouth for flowers and a pot belly base. The glass is not thin, so it won't break easily - but if you toss it around or drop it, it will break. I took one star off as I was attracted to the bold striations of dark, light & medium amber shades ringing around the vase, as the photos shown. However, the striations are nothing like the photo, it is very faint and it looks like a solid amber colored glass vase. Keep that in mind if you are ordering this and you wanted the bold, dramatic striations.

Pretty vase

This amber colored vase is very cool and unique looking. It's much larger than I was expecting too. The amber color was coming off in a few spots upon arrival so I'm not sure how well the finish will hold up if you put water in it. I'm using it as a decorative piece for fake flowers since I'm worried the finish will get ruined. The glass is on the thinner side but it still feels sturdy. Nice looking decorative vase.

Gorgeous amber color, appears to be handmade

This amber-colored glass vase is right up my decorating alley. The color is beautiful, a deep shade of amber that gets a bit lighter where the vase is widest and is more concentrated where the vase narrows. My photos don't so the color justice, it is much prettuer in person. The shape of this vase is a classic, with plenty of room for stems inside the bowl area, but a narrower opening that helps a novice like me arrange flowers or greenery, because it helps hold stems together so the arrangement stays in place and looks more full. I also love that this vase looks to be handmade. Mine appears to have a "pontil scar" at the mouth of the vase, which isn't an ideal location but it does indicate this vase was mouth blown by an artisan. I love handmade items that are not quite "perfect." The vase I received is slightly larger than the listing specifies, mine is about 8 inches tall and 7 inches across at its widest point; I assume this is because no two of these vases will be identical since they are handmade rather than manufactured in an assembly-line type fashion. Overall this vase is just beautiful in its color, shape, and its slightly imperfect handmade quality. I love it.
