Leaves beware.
Super light even when bag is full. Works great for picking up leaves, even on the low setting. Gonna be great to use around the pool so we don't blow stuff into the pool. I haven't tried the blower yet but judging by the sucking I assume the blowing is top notch.

Still using it after 6 years
I bought this is 2016 and have used it each autumn since. I've found the blower to be is completely adequate except when leaves have gotten wet. It is not very effective at dislodging and moving wet leaves. However, I use it more for sucking up and mulching leaves now rather than blowing them around. In mulching mode it is not particularly well balanced so a bit of a back strain. There's also a lot of disconnecting/reconnecting of the bag since about 5 fills of the attached bag fit into a 30 gallon leaf bag. Others have commented on a "just won't turn on" issue. Every time this has happened to me it has been because the lower attachment by the fan was not properly seated; disconnect/reconnect has always worked for me. I'd buy it again, but I'd probably buy one of the leaf collection accessories to go with.

Two Things To Note
It seems to be a pretty solid machine. I bought it to suck the leaves so I can stop spending hours every year blowing and bagging them. Seems to do a decent job. I did as a test my patio and it had good suction and nothing seemed to get stuck. Please note two things - it is LOUD. This is something I’d suggest using maybe midday if you have close neighbors. Not in the mornings or evenings. It also is designed to where you will need a two prong extension cord to use. I did not see anybody mention that. The normal three prong extension cord will not work. I have somehow acquired a million extension cords over the years but not one was two prong. I had to buy that separately after I discovered this.

My new favorite yard tool! It works great!
I am really happy with how well this tool works for the price. It worked great on live oak leaves and magnolia leaves. Everything was relatively dry when I used it so no issues there, I’ve only done my front yard so far, which is grass, but my back yard is gravel, so that will be the true test for me. Still, I’m extremely happy with it so far. I tried turning it on while my 3-year old daughter was in the yard with me and she was VERY upset by how loud it was, definitely don’t use around kids???? now I need to get some cans to protect my ears, as I plan to use the crap of of this thing!!! Thanks!

You need an extension cord to operate!
It doesn't mention anywhere on the product page that you can't plug this product in. You need to purchase a compatible 2-prong extension cord in order to use it. (This review is not about the operation of the product, since I have to wait to get the extension cord before using. Just wanted to make sure others saw that they needed this if they were going to purchase).

Powerful
Tremendous power, two speeds, the air reaches an amazing distance. The vacuum change over is very quick and the vacuum/shredder is really good, making clean up very easy. The unit is not light weight, but the power makes up for the extra weight.

What's not to like?
I have a couple leaf blowers but none of them vacuum. Had some experience with this model a couple years ago and just bouht one for myself. Works great but small bag needs to be emptied frequently, which isn't a big issue for me. Hope the plastic empeller survivres at least a few seasons.

Great shredder of leaves
Slifght improvement over the previous version: 2-speeds only, rather than one continuously variable speed. This allows lower speed for vacuuming leaves from gardens, leaving soil in place; high speed for vacuuming/shredding leaves does a good job. Plastic impeller rather than metal - too bad. Good bag, easy to empty. Wear hearing and eye protection the former is absolutely necessary. Rather than 5-stars for the equipment, I give 4-stars - ordered through Prime - "guaranteed delivery date" - what a joke, it's hardly ever on the guaranteed delivery date. What good is paying for Prime when there is no way to complain about late delivery. If there is a mechanism, it is deeply hidden. I don't use the blower much. I shred leaves to add to my compost.

It is a blower AND vaccuum!!!
Bought the unit to vaccuum maple leaves and seeds from the patio. You have to hold the nozzle flat to the ground to get good suction, but if you do so, it will pick up all kinds of debris, shred it and bag it.Then just dump the mulch into a yard waste bag and the job is done. Quick & easy. Bought this corded model as I did not want to have to charge batteries and replace (expensive) batteries down the road. Also much cheaper to buy a corded unit. I like it, it works well.

Awesome!
Always liked black and decker. This item didn't let me down. On low, it vacuums pine needles off our front yard gravel without disturbing the gravel bed. Great product.

Good product
Really powerful vacuum that handles both dry and slightly wet leaves without clogging. Only issue is that the unit is a little heavy but that may be related to the power of the motor. This is my second similar unit and every early indication is that both performance and longevity is expected.

Unit kept shutting off
Product worked for about 10 minutes then would keep shutting off. We had to keep unplugging the unit and taking bag off to get it running again. It wasn’t plugged or anything. Just worked poorly.
