Bio oil’s been reliable for years. Now using in pregnancy
I have no complaints about bio oil. It can be pricey but it is worth it if you’re needing it for a specific skin discoloration issue or trying to prevent stretch marks. Even if you choose not to buy it online, I still recommend you get it from a store. I am extremely familiar with this product, it’s been a lifesaver in different points of my life. It was with bio oil that I was able to fade a very dark burn on my face from a bad waxing attempt many years ago. It literally looks like nothing was ever there. I have always used it to fade any dark spots or scars successfully. I don’t like using it on my face as much as my body just because it’s oil, but it has never caused any breakouts for me personally and I know that if I ever have another problem on my face, this works. I have now been using it every day on my belly to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. I am currently 8 months pregnant, only have a few weeks left to go, and still no stretch marks at all. I know if they show up that it will not be this product or anything that is to blame, it will simply be natural cause if my belly grows faster than my skin can keep up with. However I have seen amazing benefits for my skin elasticity. The last three weeks I have been feeling the growing tension and stretch on my belly and belly button, and felt like stretch marks were on the brink of showing, but I’ve been super consistent with applying oil a few times a day and nothing has popped up so far. I know it would’ve been a different story if I wasn’t using anything. I rely heavily on bio oil and sometimes combine it with lavender oil at night, and massage those in. I also use lotion or the Vaseline cocoa body oil gel when running low on this - just trying to extend the use of what I have and keeping my belly moisturised as much as possible throughout the day. I’m sure there are other things you can use to help with extra moisturising if you need it, like applying lotion if you need to go out and don’t want to have oil on your clothes. This is your body, you’re the one who has to live in it and at the end of pregnancy you’ll be glad you did all you could to help with the changes. Some body changes will be inevitable and that’s amazing, you cannot expect your body to be the same when motherhood is such a transformative process and you are growing a life. We should make our peace with all these things, see beauty in it and focus on good health above all, but I also believe it’s best for your mental health to look after what’s important to you and have no regrets. If preventing stretch marks is important to you, don’t neglect it.

Loving my skin again!!
For reference, I am a 58 y/o BF with healthy, glowy skin ( genetics) struggling to maintain its elasticity and fullness during the normal course of aging, and in the aftermath of two major health events: (1) Diagnosis of Ankylosing Spondylitis and (2) Total Hysterectomy. I find this miracle oil to be quite moisturizing, lightweight, and easy on the nostrils. I use it from head to tow. The price/ quality/ outcomes are unbeatable, compared to the "all talk" brands. Not gooey or greasy. A light application goes a long way.

am so glad I bought this! I started using it during my pregnancy (2 months in), I love that this oil isn’t sticky and it’s very moisturizing. I had prior stretch marks from losing and gaining weight but, didn’t not get new ones. Love love this oil! Worth the price!

smells awful but ok for sensitive skin and you get used to it
it also lasts a super long time! i got a double mastectomy and ive had the same bottle for like almost eight months of regular use and its barely over halfway. i really hate the smell but so much stuff makes me break out i just use this anyway. its good for moisturizing and scar massage so i dont get an abrasion burn while i massage the area pretty hard to break up the scar tissue

Bio-Oil: A Decent Moisturizer with an Interesting Smell
I recently tried the Bio-Oil Skincare Body Oil with Vitamin E, and while I had mixed feelings about it, I found that it did keep my hands moisturized. I have dry skin, and this product helped to lock in essential moisture without clogging my pores. However, I found that it was a bit too oily for my liking, and I had to be careful not to use too much at once. One thing that I found interesting about this product was the unique smell. It's hard to describe, but it has a slightly medicinal scent mixed with floral notes. While it may not be for everyone, I found that it wasn't too overpowering and eventually got used to it. However, the scent may be a deal-breaker for some. While it did keep my hands moisturized and had some interesting natural oils, it was a bit too oily for my liking, and the scent may not be for everyone. However, I think it's worth trying out for yourself to see if it works for your skin type and preferences.

I am using this right now for my stretch marks postpartum
I really love the value of this product for the large size. I know there is no magical cure for stretch Mark's and that everyone reacts differently to every treatment from the least expensive in oils and creams like bio oil to laser treatments at the dermatologist. However, for me, this product is helping to significantly reduce my stretch Mark's after having my baby. I have been using it on my lower belly for the past 4 weeks, since 2 weeks postpartum and they have lightened up materially. After alot of research I've learned that treating stretch marks soom after they appear is the trick. I have also used bio oil on my very old inner thigh stretch marks from puberty and they have not changed. These will likely need laser or mocroneedling treatment. Bio oil is very nice smelling and is incredibly hydrating. During pregnancy it is important to drink A LOT of water to stay hydrated from the inside out and also use a moisturizer such as bio oil daily for prevention. But in th4 end, genetics do play a huge role in whether or not you are more prone to stretch marks. Good luck!

Unhelpful review
I have no idea if it works because I have nothing to compare it to (I didn’t save a patch of control group skin where I didn’t put the product). Ended up I got stretch marks while using this product, but hey, I got pretty big in pregnancy (+60lbs) so maybe it was unavoidable. I continue to use it post pregnancy and the stretch marks are going away but I have also lost 45lbs. Is it weight loss/gain, good diet, genes, or bio oil? Who knows? It isn’t my favorite scent, but it fades quickly. It helped when my belly was itchy while it was stretching. It also helps my dry/chapped hands in the winter which is an unexpected bonus.

The package card box came sealed however the bottle itself didn’t have any extra sealing. The product has good, weak odour, dries very fast in your skin and don’t leave stains (non on my clothes so far, but I let it to absorb for 5-7 minutes before putting anything on). I have been using it every day since 3rd month on my belly and hips, (also I was using coconut oil in the night time), and didn’t get any stretch marks. Plus, I was using it on my face as a moisturizer to reduce acne scars, and it helped well. I would say it is a good additional help to keep your skin in shape, as well as plenty of water and balanced nutrition.
