Great coffee maker!
I recently went to Italy where I attended a cooking class. We made tiramisù, and used a moka pot to make the coffee the biscuits were dipped in. Coupled with a desire for espresso at home - I ordered this 6 cup Bialetti pot. It's super easy to use, even easier than a French Press. The coffee is smooth and strong, and not intensely bitter as espresso from a machine often is. I've been using Wegmans house blend (medium roast), 25g processed through a burr grinder. Set it on the burner, and in about 7-8 minutes you have 6 "cups" of Italian style coffee (or one cup of you're American like me). I will enjoy making authentic tiramisù with this and a nice cup of joe whenever I need it. Clean up is very easy and environmentally friendly - you just dump the grounds and rinse it out with water. No filters or soaps involved! Now that I have the process down I'll experiment with grind settings and different coffees!

Tried others that look like a newer design, but this was the best
I tried some nice Stainless Steel Moka pots and they didn't push all the water up through the grounds. There is a need to have close clearance between the bottom of the funnel and the bottom of the water reservoir and this one had the right amount of clearance. I wish the design didn't make the coffee drip down the side when you open the lid to check it, but it works well.

The best way to make coffee!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using moka pots since I discovered them in the early 2000s. My main pot is the 3-cup pot - perfect for one person. I use my 6-cup pot when my spouse wants coffee, too. I use this little 1-cup pot when I want an afternoon pick me up but don’t want to get over caffeinated. I have a Breville steamer/frother and make delicious cappuccinos with the coffee made in my moka pots. Sometimes americanos as well. Lately I’ve been enjoying making cortados with this 1-cup pot. Moka pots produce a brew that is similar to espresso but not quite. The pot can’t generate enough bars of pressure to be considered true espresso. It’s good enough for me, though! Very espresso-like but without the crema. If you’re new to moka pots, watch a few videos on YouTube and educate yourself. Moka pots are inexpensive, easy to use, and produce great coffee. Upkeep and maintenance is very minimal. Every so often I replace the gasket. Cheap and found here on Amazon. My Bialetti pots will outlast me. They do not wear out and only require simple rinsing after use (never soap or a dishwasher!). Why buy an expensive espresso machine when you can enjoy excellent moka pot coffee? These have been around for close to 100 years and are still very widely used for good reason.

Take this to work and on vacations
Control the heat and don't burn your coffee. It is easy to clean and you can use it on the store. Go to youtube for great how to videos.

hand wash only!
My father put one of mine in the dishwasher and the top section turned a pewter shade. Nothing wrong with it but the top and bottom no longer match ????????‍♀️ I always have an issue with Bialetti dribbling from the middle seam where the 2 compartments screw together. That’s nothing new and it’s not alllll the time. Other than that, works as expected.

Bialetti consistently makes good coffee
Foolishly I threw out our old Italian coffee makers. We have been using Nespresso and Keurig for a few years now. We decided we really wanted a good old cup of espresso. I bought the 1 cup size. Big mistake. I then ordered the 3 cup size. Another big mistake. We both enjoy it so much that I am going to buy the 6 cup. But I must admit I love the 1 cup and 3 cup depending on our moods. It gives us options. Just like my Italian Grandmother used to make.

I love their products
Awesome Moka Pot. flavor is wonderful. Made in Italy!! I recommend as do they, do not wash with soap. Just rinse & wipe out. Occasionally rubber stoppers need to be changed but that's not often. Makes a great cup of coffee. Everyone prefers Moka Pot coffee when at my house!! In fact, I have several sizes to accommodate all my guests! I can no longer make drip coffee. I cannot say enough good things about this product.

Quite expensive, but an excellent product
I bought the 6 cup version. Some of the points which may not be highlighted in other reviews: Pros: 1. The decoction gets done quickly (3-4 mins). 2. The decoction is thick and leaves a film of trail when drawn (not watery). 3. Is versatile: Can be served directly as small espresso shots served in demitasse cups, but can also be used in lieu of filter coffee decoction with milk and sugar without losing the originality of filter coffee taste (I used regular South Indian coffee grounds). 4. Thorough extraction of flavour and essence - There is no point of reusing the used grounds for a second extraction, since the first extraction itself is thorough. Cons: 1. Very very expensive even for an international product. USA Amazon prices for the same product are 20-30% cheaper. 2. Cleaning needs some attention as the different parts need to be separated out and cleaned with plain water and no detergent.

The perfect Moka pot
I've had a 9-cup Moka pot purchased years ago in Europe. When that died, I was hard pressed to find a replacement as good in terms of capacity and quality build. Have experimented with a number (5 or 6) of cheap stainless steel Mokas from Amazon and Ikea but they were all disappointing. Most were too small and produced terrible brew. With this purchase, am happy to state that I've found what I was looking for.
