Warm, comfortable, and very little break-in

I received these as a Christmas gift. My first wear was to the zoo on a 32 degree day. My feet and toes stayed toasty, and I didn’t end up with sore feet breaking them in. My ankles were slightly sore where the leather isn’t soft yet, but after a few wears they are loosening up. I absolutely love that you can adjust the laces to your exact fit, then just use the zippers and leave the laces be. I wore them to the barn today for the first time and received a handful of compliments. I generally wear an 8.5-9 shoe, and really love my wide all-terrains. These certainly aren’t as wide as the wide all-terrains, but I am comfortable wearing them. I don’t find them any more narrow than a regular sized Ariat. I know other reviews on this boot stated it was narrow, but I don’t feel that way.

Very nice boot

Boots are comfortable they fit well. The lining is very thin. The reason for 4 stars is the zipper. They are very hard to zip up . Side zippers work the best. The zipper kinks just above the heel. You can just work the strings to get on and off. They are water repellent . I also added arch support.

Quality Boots!

These feel amazing. Great price. I’m 5’2” and they fit perfect. The laces in the front will be much appreciated during the winter holiday weight gain season! I can’t wait to wear these boots in Connemara, Ireland in October!!! Thanks!

Stylish and Warm!

Love Ariat boots...have quite a collection! For dress cowboy boots I usually wear an 8. For the barn and walking I use an 8.5 or 9. I chose 9 in these since reviews talked about the toe box being a little narrow. True. The size 9 works great. I usually replace the Ariat insoles with more cushion and arch support, sometimes a fleece insole. Plus, a tight foot is a cold foot so if you plan to wear a thick sock or switch to more cushion you may wish to go up in size. Don't forget to add waterproofing to keep them looking great!

Beautiful quality, great fit!

Very good quality, supple leather. Zip in the back and laces in the front mean they are pretty darned adjustable for my large calves. Very comfy foot bed.

Wonderful boots for winter riding

These boots are amazing! They are so water and weather proof, and keep your feet so warm! I love the lace up design with the zipper in the back so they are very easy to fit. Love the spur rest and comfortable design. Recommending these boots to all of my friends!

Love them

Lovely stylish boots that are warm and comfortable. I have gotten compliments both at the stable as I ride in them and when I have met up with non horsey colleagues. They are so comfortable that I have used them as my main winter boots even though I planned to only use them as riding boots. They are a great fit as they can be adjusted and I have not had the problem mentioned that the zip is coming down. Only small niggle is that the toe box is a little cramped. It is better now with wear however if you are hesitant go up half or a full size. Main question, are they waterproof? I would say yes and no. For wet grass etc they have been fine. Having to walk through long ankle deep puddle of water to get the horse in from the field the foot feels damp afterwards but isn't quite. I have started to swap into wellies to get the horse in through the water and swap back once on the yard.
