Does not recline, but declines to nearly a laying down position,

When blown up fully, this thing folds back easy to like a 20 degree angle, not suitable for reading. It’s suitable for laying back and relaxing, but has no support structure to keep it at say 45 to 75 degree angles like you might expect from the picture. It’s a less robust version of the same float they used to make (which was a good float to sit fairly upright in.).

Product changed over the years

We buy this floaty every year except last year because of no availability. They weren't sold out, there just weren't any in 2021. My guess is that they changes manufacturers as a couple of things changed. Firstly, it's smaller as my wife and I don't fit comfortably anymore side by side as we used to and we didn't gain weight ???? . Secondly, the air valve is now in the turn or bend between raised back and bottom where it used to be in the bottom. Remains to be seen If the constant flex in that pinch point won't expedite failure. Thirdly, it deflated the very first night to complete empty. Some investigation revealed there was a hole in the backside just above the water line that had been repaired with what looks like superglue as ther was a big blob of good smeared all over it. And price went up 33%

Would love to know the easiest way to deflate this lounge

I absolutely love this pool lounge. Inflated it up as soon as I got it and never had to fill it again. Comfy and durable. Worth the extra dollars spent. I would love to know the easiest way to deflate the lounge at the end of swim season. Not sure how to do it with the boston valve.

got dirty quick

at first, this seemed great. Hubs wanted it and liked it at first but then decided he would like to be more in the water rather than sitting up high on top. I think if it's cooler and I don't want to get wet, it would be good, but when the water is warm, I agree with him. It feels comfortable... he likes pillow, I don't use it so it's nice that it flips up. I fell asleep on it one day for maybe 30-45 minutes and my back didn't feel real stiff after like with some beach chairs. That said, it got super dirty... we've only had it a few months and we have screen cage over pool... whatever dirt got washed from cage or just from wetness, it got very dirty/mildew looking. I tried scrubbing it today with boat soap but didn't do much. We pressure washed it and got some of the dirt off but then I must have gotten to close to it and blew a tiny hole into it. pricey for being done with it in 3 months.

Did not hold air from day one

The day after it arrived, I pumped it up by hand. It held air that day and since then everytime I use it I have to pump it up again. Expensive for what I have to do on a day to day basis.

Ultra large pool Float

Wonderful float so far! Good for tall people.. larger than I thought.. Nice & wide.. plastic on bottom but soft material on top.. so comfy! Like a lounge chair.. water does not touch you.. sets kind of high! But love it.. I did have to buy a electric pump.. The hole to add air to blow it up is big and would take forever to blow it up, but electric pump took maybe a minute! Hope it’s durable.. so far so good!

Best for a pool!

Very comfortable to rest on. However, you cannot control where you are going. I tried using a paddle and this only sent me in circles, very quickly! No time to paddle on other side to straighten out direction. You could not sit up and straddle the air mattress, as it is too wide. I was using it on a lake. I quickly found out I had no control of it. There is a spot to tie a rope to it, but it is at the foot end of the mattress, so you cannot grab onto it to pull you in the direction you wish to go. Great for a pool, but be careful if you are on a lake.
