Very easy to replace the filters.. It took longer to clean up the spilled water.

I ordered the seals as well. Only needed to replace 1 of the 3, but it was definitely due when I opened the filter housing. It was like touching mascara, got it all over my hands. Other 2 seals showed no signs of degradation.

Works well, but ....

This is the first time I have replaced all the filters. The alkaline stage gave an odd taste and smell for the first several days. It took a while for the smell/taste to go away. Once it went away, the water is perfect. We use it for all our drinking and cooking needs.

I bought my original Apec system from Amazon in 2018 and love it. I purchased my 4th set of 6 filters through the company in March 2022. I didn't open the box until last night (June 22) and sadly it's missing one of the filters. Way to go with QA Apec. Update: I reached out to the company and they requested the order info and ship date and sent me the missing item for free. I was floored and now amiss of my prviously written comment. So let me now say this: The product is awesome, the customer service is Awesome!

Alkalinity (PHPLUS) part does not fit anymore

The PHPLUS part design on this shipment is different. It is slightly thinner than the ones I have replaced for years now. The problem is that these filter parts are connected to each other with clamps. These clamps are not adjustable (see pictures). The PHPLUS piece (purple label) is connected to the membrane and the coconut carbon filter (blue label) is connected to the PHPLUS. Because the PHPLUS is thinner the clamp will not hold it. That means that one and the blue carbon cannot be installed, there is nothing else to hold them in place other than the clamp which will not fit anymore. If they change the design, then they also have to provide the items that work with that new design. So, you cannot just install this thing anymore with snapping things on, it simply will not work. What a frustration and disappointment. So, yeah, I cannot recommend this filter set anymore.

Good quality filters and replacement / installation considerations

Quick shipping, well-packed, good quality, and easy to replace. Quality OEM filters and doing its job as I can see the sediments etc on the old filters. I think the price can be a bit lower on 6 months filters but not too bad (otherwise a five star rating :-) ) In addition to following the instruction, step-by-step (e.g., de-pressurizing filter containers by turning on the faucet) make sure you are working on a flat surface and "carefully" twist off the old filters, as they are likely to be full. I tried to be very gentle but still had some water leaking out. Was not a big deal (2-3 paper towels worth :-) ). For those looking to buy this or to install this, make sure the length of hoses can accommodate "easy" exchange / replacement of these filters (I did not consider but I was lucky). If you cut some of these hoses to short and place the unit far back in the cabinet, I can see that it can be a bit more challenging to replace these filters in the future. Once a year or so thing but just a consideration.

Check the box contents!!

Buyer beware - I purchased this 3 months ago and only opened the box now, only to discover that one piece (the blue coloured membrane) is missing in the box. Unfortunately for me, the return and support window has long passed so I have to somehow get that piece on it's own.
