Great pan; terrible handles

I purchased the 10 and 12 inch set and are very happy with the way they cook and cleanup. However the shape of the handles are not very ergonomic. I have never held a frying pan which wants to tilt to either side when holding it. When cleaning, I need to grasp the pan at the riveted end of the handle as well as grasping the pan to prevent it from tilting. The 12 inch pants much worse as it is heavier and wider. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Excellent quality - but ridiculously heavy.

These All-Clad pans cook like a dream. And the sizes of these pans are very useful and can accommodate almost everything we cook at home for our family. The quality is excellent and these pans are even pretty to look at (if you are a kitchen nerd like me) but there is one thing that I do not like about them. They are extremely heavy - like I'm considering selling these and going back to Calphalon because of how heavy and awkward they are to maneuver. I absolutely cannot hold them up by the handle with one hand to scoop sauce (or whatever) into a bowl with the other. And sink-washing them is very difficult because of the weight. (Maybe this is a known thing about All-Clad and I should have done more research, but for anyone not aware of the boat-anchors these things are, I wanted to make sure to mention it.)

All Great Except the Handles

My favorite thing about these pans is the shape. The vertical walls help prevent messes and make it easier to scoop food out of the pan. They also clean up well and the eggs slide right out. My least favorite thing about these pans are the handles. They are VERY uncomfortable to hold onto. If I have to move the pan from one burner to another or remove it from the oven, it hurts my hand. Not ergonomic at all.

Just purchased, but they are wonderful!

I just bought these fry pans, but I own other All Clad, and have really liked it. The first thing I noticed, is that the 12 inch skillet is actually 12 inches. I had purchased another brand about 1 1/2 yrs ago, and the skillet that is supposed to be 12 inch is actually 8 1/4 inch on the bottom. These are the size they say that they are which is what I want! All Clad cookware is good quality, and I haven't been dissapointed yet, so I'm sure these will be just as good. They are heavy, but All Clad products are heavy - I don't mind that. I wish these were made in the United States as the stainless cookware is however.

Ideal Except the Handles

Mind all the other reviews. People are not simply being salty. The handles were almost enough to get me to return the pans because they cut deeply into hands. There is no comfortable way to hold it. If you don't need to carry the pans around, they're wonderful. If you do, consider another product. I used to lift weights until the callouses on my palms fall off, and these still hurt me. I don't understand why All-Clad hasn't addressed this yet.

Durable nonstick coating but uncomfortable handle

I bought the set nearly 4 years ago and they held up well. With frequent use using only wood utensils the nonstick surface lasted about 3 1/2 years. The handle is uncomfortable so it's hard to lift and move these when they're full. I liked them well enough that I'm buying another set.

High quality nonstick pans

I was so tired of having to replace my pans due to the deterioration of the nonstick lining. ( we are hard on our pans) I decided to invest in some high quality pans. I’ve only had them for a couple of weeks but the heat distribution is superior and they are not too heavy for me to handle them. They clean up so easily. I am now more motivated to store them more carefully, not use high heat and use the right utensils when cooking with them. I will see how they hold up!

Great pan with an annoying handle

The pan is very good. Great nonstick, easy to clean, great construction, good heat distribution but due to their weight, the skinny handle makes it difficult to hold the pan upright. The handle is a big fault because it keep wanting to let the pan flip over. Also the pan itself is very heavy and when it’s full of food it becomes worse. I have cheap pans that have better designed handles. That’s my only fault with this pan.

Solid construction

Extremely solid and well built. Handles take some getting used to, still not entirely sold on the shape. Non-stick coating is very robust. Very satisfied so far.

These are great pans

I have used a variety of non-stick pans over the years. These are real pans - thick bottoms, even heat, a very good nonstick coating on them. This is early days with these, but I can certainly say that they're the best non-sticks I've had so far. They're easily better than the T-**** and the Me***ns out there. I've even had very pricey "plasma coated pans from Denmark" that these pans easily beat out. I'll come back in a few months to discuss durability, but as it stands these pans are really great.
