Airfix Hawker Hurricane MK I 1:48 WWII Military Aviation Model plastikowy do sklejania A05127A

Hawker Hurricane był najważniejszym myśliwcem RAF we wczesnych latach II wojny światowej. Te wytrzymałe, częściowo pokryte tkaniną myśliwce jednopłatowe dzielnie broniły się przed przeważającą liczebnie Luftwaffe podczas Blitzkriegu. Chociaż był wolniejszy niż Messerschmitt Bf109 i miał mniej niszczycielskie uzbrojenie, Hurricane był w stanie skręcić mocniej i pochłonąć znaczną karę.

Good Model
Goes together well, with options to show open gun bays. Complex representation of cockpit frame is a challenge which you cant see once the model is complete so would not bother with the fight next time. Recessed panel lines work fine but for some reason the separate wing flaps are a pain.

Airfix kits are mostly top-notch
Airfix puts a great deal of detail into their model kits, and this is no exception. I prefer both Airfix and Tamiya over Hasagawa any day. Now, as for bomber kits, the old Monogram 1/48 scale kits are hard to beat but their B-24D, B-24J, B-26 Marauder, and B-29 Superfortress are very hard to find now. I wish they would reissue these or allow Airfix to have the molds and reissue them. ICM comes very close with their kits. But I highly recommend Airfix's rendition of the Hawker Hurricane Mk I.

Just plane fun
She's hanging in my basement, which is the ultimate honor around here.

Be prepared
This kit is what the Brits might refer to as "a bit Fiddly," which is a polite way of saying that the fit and finish leaves a LOT to be desired. While the detail is pretty good (and that could be improved - the panel lines are shallow, and the cockpit is sparse with the details molded into the fuselage), gaps and seams abound. As long as you are handy with a good set of clamps, rubber bands, extra thin cement AND the regular stuff, putty and sandpaper - you might enjoy the build. I enjoyed it, but I found it unduly complex to get it fitted properly.

Well done
Very detailed model, excellent molding job. I did have to file down the wing spars quite a bit to get the wings to join around them. But other than that, a great model.

Lovely little kit...
Amazing cockpit detail, Actually comes with parts to build a Sea Hurricane, but without the decals for one. Also has "weighted" tires for building with gear down, or can be built gear up as well. Built two so far, love it.

Great kit.
Great kit, accurate and fun. Cockpit asamblea is a little complex but amazing built overall.

Probably the Best Kit in this Scale
There are a million positive reviews on this kit and seeing it in person, I can confirm. Airfix is doing the lord's work these days.

Battle of Britains forgotten fighter!
Usually stick to Tamiya models, but couldn't get a decent priced Hurricane so opted for the Airfix kit. Long time since I built Airfix but I have to say this kit at least has come on leaps and bounds. With a bit of modelling experience it goes together really well. Minimal flash on the kit and the seam lines are very fine and easy to get rid of. The joins for the wings and the wings to the fuselage are always tricky areas but this wasn't the case for here. Nice cockpit area as well ( I didn't use the pilot figure) which helps if you leave the canopy open like I have. Pleasure to build and paint, although I bought seperate stencils so I could paint on the aircraft codes and roundels rather than use the decals that came with the kit. Hopefully the photos do it some justice.

complicated
Does not get 5* because a lot of construction is internal and not seen when model is finished. Seems to be more for the model making purist. Quite fiddly to say the least.

I like it

Nice mod
Like many airfix models this can be a bit fiddly in places. A few bits needed "persuading" at times. Ultimately looked good on compketion.
